Department of Anthropology
Graduate Student Travel Award
The Department of Anthropology will make travel awards available to graduate students presenting a paper at a recognized national or international meeting. In Spring 2016, the Department will make up to 10 awards in the amount of $750 each. Awards are competitive and may be applied retroactively to conference travel completed in Fall 2015 (see below).
Funding decisions will be based on quality of the proposal, adherence to the application guidelines, faculty letter of support, and significance of the conference and paper for the student's progress in her or his degree program. Priority will be given to students who have not traveled on Department funds during the previous year. Applications partially supported by other sources of funds will be given priority. Students are eligible to receive Department travel funds once per academic year.
